Do you want to have your wedding picture perfect? Do you need an affordable way to achieve that memorable wow factor? Wedding sparklers are the answer. These festive sparklers add whimsy to your special day and also make great photos for your wedding album.

Here are some ways to use wedding sparklers in your wedding day, along with some tips to pull it off without a hitch.

The Wedding Reception Send-Off:

This is the classic wedding reception exit where your guests will form lines outside your venue with lit wedding sparklers (available in #8”, #10”, #20” & #36”) and cheer as you depart to begin your honeymoon. (Make sure you check with your venue to see if sparklers are allowed.)

The Wedding Ceremony:

Unexpected and unique is having guests light a sparklers at the end of the ceremony during the Bride & Groom’s first kiss. Hand out the sparklers with instructions on how to light them (If you’re using a heart sparklers, the way to light it is at the black dot at the top where the two sides come together in the middle.) along with matches. You also want to make sure there are decorative containers filled with sand to dispose of spent wedding sparklers.

On the Wedding Reception Dance Floor:

Pass out sparklers to guests before the first dance, ask your DJ to make an announcement asking friends and family to gather at the edge of the dance floor with the lit sparklers. Again, make sure you have containers filled with sand to dispose of the sparklers and make sure they’re completely out avoiding possible fire hazard. Galvanized steel pails filled with sand work well and you can paint them to match your theme.

On the Wedding Cake:

If you plan on having sparklers on your cake (make sure you let your cake maker know this is your plan), make sure you know the length of time the wedding sparklers last. For this option, we recommend two kinds: the #8 gold wire sparkler and the champagne/bottle / birthday cake sparklers which is a fountain like sparkler. The sparklers can be inserted into the cake or our recommendation to have decorated containers but separate from the cake to hold the sparklers. This way if anyone should be allergic to a chemical in the sparkler or there’s a problem with the sparklers (they’re all handmade in China so nothing is exact) you haven’t ruined the cake look with holes in it.
